About the Beta

This beta is intended for early evaluation and feedback. Users of the latest released version of Postbox should not expect all of their add-ons to work properly with this beta.

  • Fixed the issue where duplicate special folders were appearing for Gmail accounts.
  • Lightning Calendar - a new version of Lightning is available for Postbox 1.1 which includes support for languages. Go to Tools / Add-ons / Find Updates to download the new version.
  • Updated Languages - To use a different language in Postbox go to File / Languages and choose your language. Note: the translations are still being worked on by volunteers and may contain some English strings.
  • When viewing a conversation that includes attachments, Postbox now indicates the number of attachments at the end of the participants list.
  • Focus the message body after opening a message in a new tab.
  • Allow remote content for sender was not working correctly if the sender was in your Mac OS X Addressbook.
  • Fix for the copy and paste context menu items in the compose window.
  • Messages were being incorrectly truncated in the message pane.

  • New Account Wizard - When creating a new mail account, Postbox will automatically attempt to figure out your connection settings for you. All you need to know is your user name, e-mail address and account password!
  • Languages - To use a different language in Postbox go to File / Languages and choose your language. Note: the translations are still being worked on by volunteers and may contain some English strings.
  • Incorporated Mozilla Firefox 3.5.5 security updates
  • XLIST support for IMAP servers such as gmail which allow Postbox to automatically detect special folders such as Sent, Trash, and Drafts.
  • Fixed a problem with the Help menu having disabled menu items when coming out of sleep mode on Mac OS X.
