Postbox 1.0 Beta 10 Now Available

March 26, 2009

The Postbox BETA 10 release primarily focuses on improvements suggested by our beta testers, including a highly requested feature - custom signature support.

Here’s how it works:

  • Signatures are located in the Compose Sidebar on the right-hand side of a new message window.
  • Click the Add Signature button at the bottom of the Compose Sidebar to create a new signature.  Add or drop in any content, including images. Your new signature is now ready to use. Create as many signatures as you like.
  • To insert the signature into your message just double-click it. Double-click another signature to replace your current one.
  • To set up a default signature for an account, go to Tools menu and selecting Account Settings

Please see our release notes to see the other changes we made in this release, and be sure to keep submitting your ideas and thoughtful feedback.  We read each and every suggestion.

Postbox Beta is Now Available!

February 8, 2009

Today, we’re pleased to announce the public beta of Postbox, a new desktop email application that helps you make the most of your email messages and content.

To start, a gigantic “thank you!” to everyone who participated in the private beta. We had over 10,000 people sign up, and we’ve been absolutely thrilled with the thoughtfulness and detail of the feedback we’ve received.

Turns out, people really care about their email! And it’s no surprise given how much time we spend each day writing, reading, and searching through messages. What we didn’t anticipate was just how desperate people were for solutions to help them make sense of it all.

Our goal is simple: to help you be more productive and successful by providing the best email experience possible. And this first beta is just the beginning, as we have lots more planned for future betas, the 1.0 release, the 2.0 release, and beyond.

So please keep the great feedback coming in, and please be sure to tell your co-workers, family and friends about Postbox.
